The gap wasn't the tool — both groups had access to similar AI. The gap was whether they rethought the process itself: what gets automated, what stays human, how decisions get made. That's a useful frame beyond startups. In a critique or retro, instead of asking "could AI have made this step faster," try asking "would redesigning this step change the outcome." It's a small reframe that pushes you from tool-tinkering to actual process thinking — a habit worth building early.
