Figma's AI app-generation tool, Make, has moved from demo-day novelty to a normal part of many teams' prototyping flow. If you're on Figma, it's worth a proper play.

Figma Make launched at Config in 2025, letting you turn a prompt or a Figma file into a working app with real code underneath. A year on it's not a party trick — teams use it to spin up clickable prototypes and internal tools without waiting on a dev sprint. It won't replace understanding structure, states and content, but it's a fast way to test an idea before you polish it in Figma proper. For a junior designer the useful skill isn't "prompting" — it's still knowing what a good flow looks like so you can steer and edit what Make produces. Try it on a side project this week rather than a client file, so you can see where it gets confused.
