UCD Surf aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA as a floor. This page says what we have built for, how to use the site without colour alone, and how to report a barrier. We do not invent scores or testimonials.
What this site is
A rearward research workbench on the same briefing corpus as UCD Coach. Search, topics, archive days, briefing pages, the Shelf (on this device), and the hype ledger are the main tasks.
How to move around
- Use Skip to main content at the top of every page.
- Primary navigation is Search, Topics, Archive and About. A sister link opens UCD Coachfor today's five. Shelf and the hype ledger are in the footer and on briefing pages.
- Search has a visible label and a named submit control: Search the archive.
- Topic filters announce Selected or Not selected in words, not colour only.
- Shelf save uses a named state: Save claim to Shelf or Saved — remove from Shelf, with
aria-pressed. - Watch this topic is disabled and says Coming soon. It never reports a false success.
Visual design
Text and interactive controls are specified to meet contrast for AA. Focus is a 2px outline on the brand colour. Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion. Theme (light or dark) is stored in this browser only.
What we do not do
No invented login. Shelf items never leave this device. We do not claim a certified audit score on this page. If a control is not ready, we say so.
